Due West Education is currently seeking a talented individual to join our Undergraduate Admissions
team as the Director of US Operations in Boston, MA, USA. Staff based in our Boston office will
travel to Beijing during the summer and fall application period.

In this role, you will build and manage a growing team of full-time counselors and manage the daily
business operations of the Boston office. You will report directly to the Director of College Counseling in
Beijing, and the role includes oversight of both operations and client relationship management.
As possible, the Director of US Operations will travel to Beijing with the Boston team for a total of two
trips each year; each trip is generally several weeks in length. Additional travel for training and client
meetings may also be required.
Responsibilities:
Operations
• Supervise US office operations and budget, including office location, logistics, salaries, and benefits.
• Arrange travel between the US and Beijing for the Boston team for training and application work.
• Provide hiring support and manage a team of US-based strategy counselors and counselors.
• Report to the Director of College Counseling in Beijing, ensuring timely and effective communication.
Undergraduate Counseling
• Collaborate with the Beijing-based sales team to close sales for the Boston office with an initial goal of 45 new clients per application cycle.
• Establish a culture of customer care and motivate your team to deliver consistently excellent service to our students and parents, with the support of Beijing-based Parent Coordinators.
• Independently manage and problem-solve client relationship challenges, escalating issues to the Beijing office as appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities
• Assist in the management of Due West’s relationships with schools and education partners in the US, and in the execution of US-based programming.
• Foster the spirit of Due West identity and close relationships between the Boston and Beijing offices.
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a competitive American institution
• 3 or more years’ experience in a leadership or management role
• Desire to work on a multi-cultural team in an international environment
• Strong English writing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Desire to lead others to exceed clients’ expectations and expand operations
Qualifications Desired:
• Significant experience in a business operations role
• Previous experience as an education counseling or admissions professional
• Public communications and direct customer service experience
