VMware invests for the future in VMware’s Sales Organization through the VMware Sales Academy. The VMware Sales Academy (VSA) is an extensive training program with two tracks: Inside Sales and Technical Services. The academy involves sales, technical and product training for all participants. Following training, successful participants will be moved into an Associate Sales role or a Technical Services Role (Associate Systems Engineer or Associate Consultant): the next step in their VMware Journey. Job Description:
As an Associate Systems Engineer, you will work closely VMware sales teams in pursuit of technical business opportunities. You would have recently graduated from a well-known university, majoring in Information Technology. You will undergo our VMware Sales Academy program that enables you to be able to understand customer’s business and map the technical requirements to appropriate VMware solutions; perform the technical “sell” of the solution and provide proof points of the technology. As a growing expert in VMware technologies, you will eventually be able to recognize opportunities for the technology in customer accounts, perform technical presentations of VMware technology and solutions, and map this back to the business benefits.
The role will perform and support tasks such as technical sales calls, onsite demonstrations and presentations, solution and architecting, proof-of-concepts, capacity planning and technical ROI models. The Associate Systems Engineer needs to be an excellent communicator with both business and technical people, be able to work independently and understand the sales process, assist the customer to understand VMware technology, its impact on their business and the benefits that can be realized.
